Never in all this years i've been surfing on IMDb site, did i feel so compelled to write a review. I'm just remaining completely puzzled in front of the plethora of eulogistic reviews you can find here. I mean, people, did we really watch the same movie ?
OK, FX are great, OK, scenes are well cut, and, OK, I do believe too Leonardo Di Caprio is a good actor (but with some movies like "blood diamond. shutter island" it's not exactly like it's a ground breaking piece of news. br>
But no, sorry, this movie is anything but original. The two bonded questions "are we all dreaming or is this the real world" and "is living in reality better than living in a dream" have been discussed numerous times, and with more success i do believe (Vanilla sky, matrix, etc. br>
Anyway it was apparently not Mr Nolan point to explore in depth this thematic, since even the vaguely original concept of the movie, the multi layers dreams" seems to be there only to enable more completely out of context action scenes (how sad would it be to think our subconscious can only dream of gunshots and James Bond scenes to resolve inner conflicts. br>
And what should we think about the completely grotesque set of rules we're given to explain this multi layer system ?
